Please see below this week’s Newsletter, which is packed with information.
Please head to the Cashpot for Schools item which simply explains how shopping at Asda can earn the school lots of money without costing you a penny! I have also attached further information. But please hurry, this offer is only active between 2nd September and 30th November 2024. In just 4 days we have already earned over £70! Thank you to Mrs. K Handley for making us aware of this super initiative.
Please also look out for Diary Dates, Sharing Assembly information and local club/activity advertisements. We have attached a flyer for a nearby drama club and a voucher entitling children to 12 free drama lessons and also the club list, in .pdf format, as some parents had difficulty viewing this on their phones.
Please see the presentation below regarding an exciting charity fundraising day coming soon. We would be very grateful for raffle/tombola prizes, and have attached a few ideas of All things Pink!
We hope to see as many of you there as possible, to support this worthy cause. Please can we stress, we do not expect anyone to purchase pink clothes solely for this event. Perhaps borrow a pink t-shirt or PJ’s, ask relatives if they have a pink scarf, socks or tie. If you are aiming on ‘top to toe pink’ and are unable to borrow items, charity shops can be a good place to visit and a low cost purchase will benefit another cause. Tie dying clothes is also a cheap and fun weekend activity.
Scroll through the slideshow below, or click here for a .pdf version of the presentation.
From September, Hutchison Catering Company will be working in partnership with Elvington Primary School and the existing kitchen team to provide tasty, nutritionally balanced, healthy meals, made with locally sourced, seasonal produce. Please find below a letter introducing Hutchison Catering – you can click the image for a larger .pdf version.
Click here for more information about school dinners at Elvington Church of England Primary School, including the new menus, dietary information and the special diet request form. If your child has any allergies, please complete this form and return it to school before the beginning of next term. This will replace any previous forms you may have used.

Please see below this week’s Newsletter. There are lots of ideas to keep the children entertained over the school holidays, including a flyer from North Yorkshire Sport who are offering an afternoon session for 4 afternoons in the holidays – its free and open to anyone 6+! Please remember, the PTA are holding a sweet stall after school today, all sweets £1. We are extremely grateful for your support. We have also attached next term’s school clubs and a customer notice from The School Shop.

Please feel free to have a look in the Star Barn for any of your child’s uniform needs for next September. A big thank you to Dr Brackenbury who has spent many hours this week establishing a clean, neat and organised barn interior with the clothes displayed in age order. There are lots of nearly new items of all ages. Please help us maintain this orderly space whilst browsing.
Should you have any laundered uniform you would like to donate, please could you bring them to reception rather than leaving them in the barn. Thank you in advance.
