Tuesday 5th January 2021

Good afternoon, I hope you have all had an enjoyable Christmas…

I would like to confirm that pupils will return to Elvington Church of England Primary School on Tuesday 5th January 2021; following our INSET day on Monday 4th January.

The Education Secretary, Gavin Williamson, stated: “We’ll be opening the majority of primary schools as planned. We know how vitally important it is for younger children to be in school for their education, wellbeing and wider development.”

All previous arrangements and precautions will remain in place at Elvington. However, it is a good opportunity to remind everyone about the importance of adhering to social distancing around the school site (when dropping and collecting your children). In addition, please can I remind you about the importance of following the drop off and collection times for your child’s class. This is for everyone’s safety…
I recognise how difficult this time continues to be for everyone, and I sincerely hope that the New Year will look and feel much more like normal – sooner rather than later!

We look forward to starting a successful 2021, when we return for the new term on Tuesday 5th January 2021.

Kind regards,
Mr. Andrew Buttery
