On Monday 2nd March, we will be hosting our first ever Elvington World Book Week! Across the week, we have lots of exciting activities planned to ignite the children’s enjoyment and love of books!

Dates for the diary and things to remember:

• Sharing a Book-daily
  • Each day, a different teacher will arrive in each class before lunchtime to share a story of their choice!
• World Book Day – Thursday 5th March
  • We would like to invite all children to come into school dressed as their favourite book character or in comfy reading clothes, such as their favourite onesie!
  • The children will also receive a book voucher on this day to use towards a book of their choice.
• The Great Elvington Book Swap – Friday 6th March
  • We will be hosting our first ever Book Swap event.
  • This is a great opportunity for the children to share stories they love and bring home a new book to enjoy!
  • Children are invited to bring in one book they no longer read, in good condition, to swap for another book on the day.
