You should apply for your child to start primary or infant school in the school year your child turns four. For entry into Reception in the September 2027 school year, children will have been born between 1st September 2022 and 31st August 2023.

If your child is four, or will have their fourth birthday by the end of August 2027, it is time to think about applying for a school place for them!
