Very occasionally the school may need to be closed in bad weather, or in the event of other emergencies such as loss of heating.  The headteacher and all the staff work hard to keep Elvington Church of England Primary School open wherever possible, however, occasionally circumstances may mean that we have to make a decision to close the school, or amend start and/or finish times.  When this happens we will aim to inform parents and carers as soon as possible – please check the school twitter feed.
